Gulf Coast FIRE has extensive experience in the various aspects of fire investigation training, education, and professional development for the fire investigator including the design, development, and delivery of custom instructional and curriculum design solutions for all levels of fire investigation professional. Gulf Coast FIRE personnel have also worked on the design and implementation of fire investigation professional designation and certification systems designed for the fire investigator on behalf of the International Association of Arson Investigators. Additionally, Gulf Coast FIRE currently serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for the IAAI CFITrainer.net Distance Learning Program which provides training to fire investigators globally.
Program Development Projects have included participating in the design, development, and delivery of the IAAI-Fire Investigation Technician Program, the IAAI-Certified Instructor Program, the IAAI-Evidence Collection Technician Program and the IAAI Knowledge 1 Program. Additionally, Gulf Coast FIRE has designed a number of custom advanced training courses including a Fire Dynamics program in coordination with Dr. James Quintiere and an Advanced Residential Electrical program in coordination with MSD Engineering.
Instructional Services have included lectures on various fire investigation topics presented at the IAAI International Training Conference, local fire investigation organizations and IAAI chapters, and on behalf of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Gulf Coast FIRE representatives have presented internationally in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Colombia.
Grant Management – Gulf Coast FIRE personnel have extensive experience in the identification and preparation of grant proposals in response to government and private solicitations. Gulf Coast FIRE has prepared successful awards on behalf of the Louisiana Association of Arson Investigators as part of the Department of Homeland Security, Assistance to Fire Fighters, Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Program and provided management and oversight during the grant performance period.
Accreditation Consultation Services – Gulf Coast FIRE has experience in assisting organizations successfully achieve ISO 17020 Accreditation, which is intended to establish operational standards for of forensic inspection organizations. Consulting services have included the drafting and implementation of Quality Control Protocols and Policies and Procedures, as well as assistance in preparing for the application and review/audit process.
